History
Gail Simpson is the founder, co-owner, and one of the trainers at SCTC. She founded SCTC 35 years ago and has been at this facility the entire time, which is relatively unheard of in the horse industry. Those who know Gail appreciate her no-nonsense, honest approach to the horse business. She is excited to announce that one of her co-trainers, Cassie Yurick, is now a vested partner in her business. Cassie brings her passion of Arabians and manages the string of show horses. Both of these women are very accomplished in the horse business and look forward to the future of SCTC.

Founder & Trainer
Gail Simpson
Gail Simpson, first and foremost, enjoys what she does. She’s trained horses pretty much her entire life. She’s enjoyed numerous Top 10s at the National level while creating many National Champion Amateur Riders, both adult and youth competitors. She works with people to identify and then fulfill their goals with horses - whether riding well for the pure pleasure of it or aspirations of national titles. As Gail would say, “If you’re happy, I’m happy.” She’s also a Certified Arabian Horse Judge. Gail’s training focus is in hunt seat, western pleasure, and saddle seat.
Gail lives in Lakeland, Minnesota with her trusty Australian Shepherd, Gunner. Her late husband, Robb ("Big Dog"), was her biggest supporter. She is the proud mother of two grown sons, Casey and Cory and mother-in-law to Lindsay (Casey’s wife) and Emily (Cory’s wife) and grandsons Crosby, Cullen, and Coyer.

Cassie Yurick
Cassie started her journey at SCTC taking lessons with Gail when she was 8 years old and owned two horses throughout the years. She competed in hunter pleasure and equitation at local, regional, and national Arabian horse shows. She has garnered many wins in saddle seat, western pleasure, show hack, sidesaddle, and halter, as well. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Management, she became a full-time trainer with SCTC, and her dedication to the business has led her to be a vested business partner alongside Gail. She has a passion for training young horses and teaching her horse knowledge to kids and adults of all ages and experience levels. She is ready to elevate your successes in the arena.

Emily Walker
Our latest addition to our team is Emily. She began riding and showing Arabians at a very young age. She is accomplished in hunter pleasure and equitation as well as dressage, showmanship, and halter. She has earned many regional and national wins over the years. She brings her extensive knowledge of horses, riding, coaching, and farm management. Her work ethic, patience, and overall fun personality are valuable assets to our team.

Kaylee Williams
Kaylee has been with us since she was 9 years old. Her aunt and late uncle have been breeding and showing horses with Gail for a few decades. Kaylee has years of experience competing in hunter pleasure, saddle seat, western pleasure, showmanship, equitation, and costume. She has achieved many local, regional, and national wins with us. We are so happy to have her continue her experience and success with us. She brings her kind heartedness to every facet of our business whether teaching, coaching, or training.
